MA, LCSW

I specialize in trauma-informed psychological evaluations for immigration cases, including asylum, VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, and hardship waivers. My work is informed by my volunteer experience with the Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights, where I conducted forensic psychological evaluations for asylum seekers. This experience shaped my compassionate and thorough approach. I am dedicated to creating a safe and empathetic environment where clients feel heard and understood, particularly when recounting difficult or traumatic experiences. I collaborate closely with immigration attorneys to ensure that each evaluation is both legally sound and clinically detailed, helping clients present the strongest case possible.
I primarily offer virtual evaluations via telehealth, providing flexibility for clients regardless of location. For clients who prefer in-person evaluations or need accommodations, I am available to travel within the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) for an additional fee.

Clients often open up to me in ways they haven’t with anyone else. Why? As an immigrant who navigated the immigration process myself, the therapeutic setting I create builds trust and rapport, allowing clients to share details they might be afraid to share, even with their attorneys. Sometimes, those details are exactly what strengthens their case and helps them win. I worked in a nationally recognized immigration law firm, where I learned the ins and outs of the immigration system. Now, I run a mental health practice, focused on helping other immigrants through therapy and evaluations tailored to their cases. Working with attorneys and their clients, I combine real-world experience, cultural sensitivity, and professional expertise to create evaluations that strengthen cases.

As a clinician with 10 years clinical experience, my goal in my practice is to create a safe, welcoming environment that explores how lived experiences shape who we are. I work with individuals that desire to explore their identities, after being impacted by anxiety, trauma, major life changes and depression. I take the journey with my clients, helping them build a culturally relevant foundation formed by their unique strengths. Most of my adult clients identify with historically marginalized populations (BIPOC & LGBTQ+ communities).
