Samantha Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and practices both in southern California and in the DC Metro area (including Maryland and Virginia). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Dartmouth College and a Master's Degree from the University of San Diego in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Samantha specializes in treating trauma, is EMDR trained, and has been working with adults and adolescents with trauma histories for over 10 years. Samantha also has years of experience working with immigrant and ex-pat populations as well as collaborating with interpreters and attorneys. Samantha incorporates culturally sensitive elements of her therapeutic practice into her immigration evaluations, and can provide expedited write-ups when needed.


Dr. Hurtado has experience in the field of clinical psychology, with a particular focus in the mental health of Latinx/e adolescents and adults. Her clinical interests and practice involve crisis intervention, assessment and evaluation, and treatment of acute psychiatric illnesses, such as depression, trauma and PTSD, and eating disorders. Dr. Hurtado area of expertise is the delivery of evidence-based, individual, group, and family interventions at various levels of care, as well conducting culturally-grounded, assessments and evaluations with immigrants and bicultural/bilingual adolescents and adults.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15+ years of experience working with diverse clients in DC, MD, VA, and MI. I am passionate about using my clinical assessment skills and understanding of trauma to help clients and families with immigration cases. I strive to be warm, affirming, client-centered, and culturally sensitive, and I am personally rooted in a desire for social justice. I will work with you and your lawyer to produce a thorough, timely, and comprehensive psychosocial evaluation.

When I am not with my clients or my family, I am a Girl Scouts leader and a volunteer in the gun violence prevention movement. I recently relocated back to my hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan; I have a telehealth practice serving MI, DC, VA, and MD. Most people value the time saved on travel to and from appointments and appreciate the flexibility to meet where it is convenient for them.

My name is Isabella Stackl (she/her/hers) and I am a psychotherapist and clinical social worker, licensed in Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland. I have over 14 years experience working with individuals and families, focused on trauma and attachment, adoption, positive parenting, PTSD, anxiety, depression, migration, acculturation, and working with LGBTQI community. I have my Bachelor’s degree and Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and I am an immigrant myself. I have lived in Latin America, Europe, and the US, and am a native Spanish speaker.


I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I utilize multiple modes of therapeutic interventions (talk, play, art, etc.) in treatment planning to help better assess and treat each individual adult, child, adolescent, and family’s needs. Treatment is designed to address the specific concerns of each individual; and is flexible to address multiple areas of needed growth and development. I conduct individual, family, marriage/couple, and group therapy with adults, children, and adolescents ages 4 to 99. I have 10 years of experience working with clients with a history of trauma and abuse. I have always worked with the immigrant population and understand their unique needs.
