Dr. La’Courtney Setzer is a trauma warrior and couples counseling crusader with a love for serving and helping others. Since the tender age of four, Dr. La’Courtney has focused on serving others. As an adolescent, she received a Presidential Freedom Scholarship from United States President George W. Bush for completing two thousand hours of community service. Dr. La’Courtney maintains a master's degree in social work from Appalachian State University and a doctoral degree in social work from Capella University.
Dr. La’Courtney has served as a trauma-focused mental health provider working with diverse groups, from children to senior adults. Dr. La’Courtney is passionate about working with individuals to improve their lives—living more abundantly—and on their terms. Dr. La’Courtney’s clinical practice includes evidence-based interventions and holistic-centered practices in African and Indigenous principles.
