Ph.D., LMHC

I am a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Psychologist in California and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I am a native Cantonese speaker and am proficient in Chinese Mandarin. I have over 20 years of experience offering mental health services to immigrants and families from diverse backgrounds in various settings, including primary care clinics, community-based programs, substance abuse and detoxification centers, correctional facilities, and inpatient treatment centers. Since 2020, I have maintained a private practice offering psychological and neuropsychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. While I offer virtual assessments for asylum, hardship waivers, and VAWA to clients in NY and CA, I can only conduct in-person assessments to clients in CA who require a Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions (N-648).

PhD, LCMFT

I am a bilingual (Chinese-Mandarin) bicultural licensed clinical marriage and family therapist licensed in Maryland, District of Columba, and Virginia. I obtained a Ph.D. in Family Science and a M.S. in Couple and Family Therapy from University of Maryland at College Park, U.S.A. and a M.A. in Parenting Education from Beijing Normal University, China. Since 2022, I have successfully completed evaluations for extreme hardship cases and U-visa cases.

I completed advanced training on psychological evaluations for Petitions for Extreme Hardship Waivers (I-601 or I-601A Waiver), Asylum Cases, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) cases, and U-visa cases and court preparation training from Georgia King.

I usually meet with clients twice, online or in-person, each time lasting 1 to 1.5 hours. Based on the assessments, I provide a very thorough, between 15-25 pages report depending on the type of evaluation.
