I provide culturally responsive psychological services for individuals navigating complex life experiences, including trauma, migration stress, and identity transitions. I am also capable of understanding and speaking French at an intermediate/advanced level. I conduct psychological immigration evaluations in Spanish, French and Haitian Creole. I have experience with Hardship Waiver, asylum, VAWA and N-648 assessments. While I am a licensed psychologist in Florida and New York, I am also a PsyPact authorized provider which means that I can provide evaluations services by video to clients located in over 40 states. At the moment, I do most evaluations virtually. If the person is local to the Orlando area, I can  meet with the client in my office located in Orlando.

The evaluation is conducted by Ahmed Alif, a licensed clinical social worker (New York, New Jersey, California, Texas and Pennsylvania), and a PhD candidate at New York University. His research and practice focus on the impact of immigration enforcement policies and programs on the health and mental well-being of unauthorized immigrants and their families. e holds a B.S. in Applied Psychology from New York University and an M.S. in Social Work with a focus on health, mental health, and disabilities from Columbia University. Alif is fluent in English, Bangla/Bengali, and Hindi-Urdu. For evaluations requiring other languages, secondary assessors are available: French and French-Creole (on-site staff interpreter), Gujarati (on-site staff interpreter), Tagalog (on-site staff interpreter), Tamil (on-site staff interpreter), Malayalam (on-site staff interpreter), and Spanish (on-site staff interpreter).
